Default Looking to buy

Hello I am a long time fan of fords, but have not owned one in quite some time.
I am currently cosidering buying a 1981 ford f250 351 4 wheel drive.I have no idea what this truck may be worth.
It has 130.000 kilometers, western truck (no salt) not driven regularly during the winters. The body is like it just came out of the show room new aftermarket wheels and tires regular cab long box. interior is about 70/75 out of a hundred. This is a very fine example of this truck and I would like to buy it but do not want to pay to muck for it.
The woman who currently owns it also does not know what it is worth as she bought from a friends deceased relative. she is going to get it professionally appraised and we will go from there.

Any help on the value folks would be of great help, and enormasly appriciated.

Jimi

You can research the value of the truck at Kelly Blue Book's web page.

Welcome to the site. You might want to try a search on google or your search preference for canadian used car prices. I use KBB as well. And may be hard for us USA people to tell you since the currency is different. I went to KBB and they don't have a price to 81. 86 is the earliest that they can show. Also check classifieds in your area. You can get an idea that way as well.

I dont know about up in snow country, but around here one in that kind of condition would bring roughly $4k, maybe more if the right person came along.

Hello Techman
I have looked at all of the suggestions you made to no avail. I dont think there is too many of these out there to begin with and less in this kind of condition. I am still looking though. As for ford for brains I think he is in the ball park (5000 + canadien).
Now to put the cart in front of the horse does anyone make a front end conversion kit for the model ( coilover, disc brake that sort of thing.
Thanks
Jimi
