would someone advise me on what kind of oil and air filter i need to use on my 2001 ford 150 lariat truck 8 cyc and 5.41 engine. I am having a heck of a time..no matter..

If you do not have a copy of your vehicle's owners manual you can get it here,
google Ford owner manuals
I believe ford recommends 5W20 grade. Some people suggest 5W30 grade.
If everything is going well ,it might pay to stay with using the recommended oil.
A lot of folks have switched to a synthetic grade , which is better, but some folks have developed oil leaks where before there were none. Mileage is an important consideration too when considering that. If you pull up the owner's manual it will show the part #s for oil and air filters.
