Default New Guy, Sloppy Steering 2000 E350

Hello All,
I just bought a 2001 Four Winds Motor Home on Ford E350 Super Duty chassis. While driving it home I noticed a lot of play in the steering. I could feel the wheels turn to the right or left just a little as I was holding the wheel straight.
I had to turn the wheel in the opposite direction so I could stay on the road. I had the local shop go through a normal state inspection but they did not see anything.
Any ideas on what the problem may be? Has anyone experienced the same problem?
I did not get a chance to get under the motor home yet due to the weather so I'm trying to find a few things to look for.
The motor home is in great condition and runs very well with the 5.4 engine with 110,000 miles on it.

Thanks in advance for any help you can offer, watersteps

You might consider having a qualified front end shop check it out. There are special parts required to correct an alignment problem , if there is one, and most shops don't have /carry those parts. With that many miles and not knowing the past maintenance work done , a thorough check of all front end and steering parts should be performed.
