Default New Purchase, New to Board

Well I will admit it here that I turned in my wife's '99 Town & Country for a '10 Ford Escape XLT. With her disability, she has wanted a small SUV, nothing more than PW, PL's, Cruise, Sunroof (the only indulgence) No Leather. Looked at small MB SUV but twice the price & gasser, All other considerations were more money. Very comfortable with this purchase, and I am a guy who runs them into the ground + a couple years...
The old vehicle 115K miles, had no dents, rust, interior 9 out 10. Needed tires, battery, window switch, A/C repair($$)not charge, rear vent window motor, engine mounts. It killed me not to milk it for another 3,4,-5 years. But clean deal, $4,500 CFC, $1,000 36 months finiancing ZERO interest, Plus $ 500 off sticker. $20,000 for a new car, what the wife wanted, and no $2,000 to bring the T&C to a runner. I just installed a steering rack & PS pump a month ago...

Still not in my background to send a runner to the crusher.

Actually got this deal done Friday, in about 4 hours. Glad I did this. No dealer (South Jersey) that I spoke to was going past Friday on the CFC Deal.

I take great interest & pleasure to read & research items of repair of all vehicles I own. I only hope that I can contribute of value as I glean information from this board.

Gary
