You might try the following,
Either a Ford Dealer Parts dept or maybe an aftermarket auto parts supply store, see if they have the hose assy , go look at it and if you need it then purchase it and now you will know where it goes and can be separated for replacement.. There are some special procedures you need to follow when replacing this part and if you are not equipped for this type work, might be a good idea to get an estimate or two and then decide how you want to handle the job.

Default thanks

That's a great idea! I ended up replacing the low pressure service port instead & thought I'd fixed the problem as it held a charge for a few hours but tonight it quit blowing cold again and I'm at a loss as to where the leak is. Have ordered a vacuum pump & gauges that will arrive Monday.

It might be a good idea to consider replacing the receiver/dryer while you have it apart.
Reminder; you will need to also replace some of the refrigerant oil lost, sounds like you have a pretty good idea what to do , be sure and be safe !
