I bought my car last september new.They actually had a new 2015 left. It has 52000 miles so its out of warranty. I took it to the non dealership repair shop near my house. The check engine light came on and I have noticed over the past 2 month that adding just a little coolant every 3 weeks is necessary. After diagnosing the problem i was told the compression was low on a cylinder. The mechanic printed recall information that potentially applies to my car. My next stop is the dealership. They tell me my car was was not on the list of vin numbers included this specific recall even though I was experiencing the same problem. They said in the future it may be included in the recall. I am getting the estimate on wednesday. Any suggestions on what I should do? I am an uber driver so I put mega miles on my car.
