timing wont crank

Talking timing wont crank

2000 zx2 someone please help any info . is there more than one mark on crank pully i must not be right . no compression on 2 an 3 have spark, gas .

What did you do that you wound up with no compression there?

yes hanky i did a comp. test cant fig out whats going on i have cked timing mrks made sure cams were algn. crank mark on tdc .whas next maybe headgasket?

When I inquired about what did you do I was referring to what mechanical work. Did you do any work with the cams etc.? There is more going on here that I need to know before offering any hopefully useful suggestions.

yes sorry . the only thing i did was before i removed the old belt was put on tdc. cams were off took belt off set cams locked them down put new belt on was same no crank cked comp . there i found low comp in 1 an 4 none in 2 an 3

It should be a non interference engine,
when you went to set everything did you confirm that #1 piston was on the top of it's compression stroke? If not start all over and you must confirm #1 IS AT THE TOP OF COMPRESSION STROKE, otherwise the timing mark will appear at TDC, but a different cyl will be at the top of comp stroke. (Sounds like timing could be 180 degrees off)
