Cool Towing Question

Our 2003 F150 was totaled. It was an XLT with the 5.4L Triton v8. Searching for a replacement in used or 2014 F150. We are towing a 23 ft. travel trailer that weighs less than 6500 lbs. loaded. Should we choose the 5.0 L V8 or the 3.7 L Eco Boost 6 cyl. Will either be OK?

Is it worth searching for a 2013 with low mileage?

We will likely drive no more than 10K miles per year and not be consistenly towing, meaning not every day .

Any help is appreciated.

Default towing

When you are towing, it is always good to go with the V8, they have better gas millage while towing, he 6 cylinders, my have good gas millage with regular driving, but when you star hauling or towing heavy loads, they burn more gas because they have to work harder. and you may do damage to the transmissions as well.
