I shifted into neutral and a “transmission not in park message” popped up on my dash. I put the car in park and the message disappeared and the car was indeed parked and stopped. I put park break on. Is this something that may need services?

 

Because some folks are preoccupied, This could be a safety reminder and no need for any service.

 

Normal message if a door is ajar and the vehicle is not in park.
