What tool to remove this fuel filter?
As I recall Ford used 2 types of fuel line retainers..
One utilized a nylon push on retainer and the other used a metal finger type. No tool was required once the nylon retainer was lifted and the finger type required a tool that slipped over the junction and compressed the metal fingers so the line could be removed.
In both types you have to be careful not to lose the "O" ring in the female part of the connection. They are a special type material made to resist swelling from the gasoline..
A REMINDER,,,,,,,,,,,FUEL PRESSURE MUST BE RELEASED BEFORE ATTEMPTING TO OPEN THOSE CONNECTIONS.
