2004 Lincoln Aviator w/4.6 engine
Our Aviator misses., but the scanner can't decide which cylinder to pick, so it keeps changing randomly to a different cylinder. No pattern! All coil packs are good and plugs too. All O2 sensors have been replaced and are good. The injectors all test good. . My mechanic is at a loss. I'm looking for help. My mechanic suggested injjector kleaner and hope the problem is cured. It has a 4.6 dual over-head cam engine. Does this sound familiar to anyone?

Sometimes ,,,,,,,,,,,stray electrical signals from an unsuspecting source can drive the system nuts.
I believe a tech with a good knowledge of how to use a scope can pin this down. There are just so many things we can see and trace with the naked eye and some special equip might reveal what s happening and it's source.
