Hello, all! I come here with a question and some photos of my car, a 74 Pinto! I took this photo Wednesday, and this is pretty much how she currently looks. This is the biggest rust hole the entire car has, and as you can see, this is indeed a 4spd car.
Here's a picture of the inside, and as you can see its a bit rough. This is actually really the only rust on the entire car, its a generally rust free body. And don't worry, I have plans to put some nice carpet and seats in here.
So, onto my questions:
1. The car purrs like a kitten when its idling, but if you even think of giving it any amount of throttle, it wheezes and coughs, and then dies. But it'll idle just fine. What's the problem here? I'll post a video later. 2. There's something weird going on with the clutch. It'll only let you push it halfway, and then it starts to make an awful grinding noise. But the car starts just fine, its just we can't get it into any gear besides neutral. Is the clutch bad or something?
