Ford Scorpio idle problems
Hi!
I recently bought a Ford Scorpio 1990 with the 2.0 DOHC engine. It has been sitting for some years so I got it pretty cheap. The main problem is the idle, when you start the engine cold the RPM is fine, a bit too low maybe but stable. The big problem is when you drive the car, everytime you press the clutch or let go of the gas the RPM starts to wander up and down. If you stop (for example at a redlight) the engine dies. The car starts right up again but needs a bit of gas to run like it should. I've cleaned the IAC, was not that dirty. I've inspected the hoses but can't find any cracks, and a vacuum leakage should give a higher idle, right? Anyone got some ideas? I got little experience with cars but got a collegue that can probably assist if needed.
Thanks in advance
