C6 transmission direct drum clearance spec
What happens if I cannot get the correct clearance for the direct drum. I believe the correct spec is ".024 - ".046. The application is a 4 steel, 4 fiber clutch pack. I am getting zero clearance. It is really tight. Please help. FYI, I checked and rechecked for correct rebuild kit.

Can we ask what brand name kit you purchased?
What kind of condition were the discs you removed? Were the lines in the fiber discs as deep as in the replacement discs?
Is the clutch piston warped?
Can we ask what was the reason you got involved with this?
