Default 96 Windstar "Shift Cable" and "Steering Gear" problems

I just did a 3.8 engine swap and it starts and everything is good except for two problems.1) The shift cable is loose near the TRS and I forgot how goes. Is there a bracket that attaches to the trans that holds the cable? I search my pictures and ones online but no luck. 2) I can't get the steering gear on where I use the pinch bolt. I have tried to spread it open more with a chisel and i don't want to damage the shaft by hitting with a hammer. Any suggestions would be most helpful, Thank You

You must be careful to not allow the steering wheel to move too much or you could damage the clockspring under the steering wheel and once damaged the air bag system will not be operative. Also some steering input shafts have an index spot on the splined end. The yoke has to be lined up perfectly for it to slide over the steering box shaft.

Thanks Hanky..took my time and lined up the shaft, and it finally fell in. My first engine swap done completely by myself. I'm no mechanic, but i am mechanically inclined. I Will NEVER change an engine on a Ford again!!
