I need to replace the coolant tube that goes into the engine block that the coolant hose fits over. It rusted out. I hope this makes sense. Do I ream it out and how would I put a new tube in. I have a 1999 Contour 2.5 L. Thanks for any suggestions.

 

If it goes into the block, see if your local Ford dealer Parts Dept has one , or can get one.

Once you see what you have to work with , you go from there. If it is pressed in,then you apply sealer and carefully drive it in. If it screws in try to peel out the remaining piece ,clean the threads and install the replacement.
