Differential lube
My owners manual says 80W90, but other people say Ford changed that to 75W140. Is this true? Sounds a little too heavy for a passenger car to me, But that's why I'm here asking you in the know. What is the current recommendation by Ford for a 2002 Crown Vic?

75W140 is a synthetic lube. I agree you should follow the manufacturer's recommendation when in doubt. However , you can use the synthetic if you choose . it doesn't do any damage and just takes advantage of using a better grade of lube.
