Default Suspension Issue - Sounds like a Rusty Squeeky Door Hinge

I have a 2000 Crown Vic which just developed a problem.

Whenever I turn the wheels to the right, I hear a loud sound that sounds like a rusty squeeky door hinge.

I checked all the bushings at the joints, they are all intact as well as the tie rods with no visible rust. I even sprayed all the pivoting joints that I could see with white lithium grease, and still it makes that annoying creek.

When I push the right fender down, I hear the creek slightly but it is more pronounced when I turn the wheels right.

I do not hear this creek when the car hits a bump.

Any ideas or suggestions?

Found your post and got excited, until I saw no one has commented!

I have the same thing going on, but in addition to sounding like a squeaky hinge, there's also usually a loud "pop" that goes along with it when I turn the wheels sharply.

That pop may be a bad rack. But don't take my word for it, thats what fixed my car.

Sounds like a dry ball joint getting ready to go south on you. Have a good shop check them out .

spraying grease on the outside of a ball joint or tie rod does not lube the joint.. the fitting on the side or top of a joint is for lubing the joint.... unfortunately most vehicles today do not come with a lube fitting or even a removable plug...
the noisy joints must be replaced..... buy grease able replacements and make sure they are lubed at each oil change.... that's the lube part of a lube oil and filter.... the door hinges and other movable hinges are supposed to be lubed as well. which most lube shops fail to do a complete service...
while the vehicle is in the shop, having the noisy joint(s) replaced. have the ball joints and the tie rod ends checked for wear....
