Hi guys, New to the forum and need some help regarding my transmission not changing gears when I'm driving.
It's
a 1982 E100 with a 351 Windsor engine, i don't know which transmission it has but its automatic
I'm not sure if it's missing the shift cable. When I turn the van on it starts up fine with a small misfire. But once she warms up, she starts to misfire, but if I shift manually it doesn't happen.
Where in it's limits of travel is that throttle rod that goes down to the trans? Is it free to travel the entire range when the throttle is depressed?
If it is in the downshift position the trans can't up shift.
its extremally loose, I can move it freely with my hand up and down.it has an adjustable screw at the top to the close to the throttle. But when I step on the gas it doesn't even hit that screw,
