Default 1997 Aerostar

Hi I have a 97 ford aerostar with the 4 litre engine. The van has roughly 199,207 klms and still runs well. Just lately had a problem with the van starting.

o
ut one morning and turned the keys and the starter worked fine wound over ok but didn't start. I had to be somewhere so took another vehicle .

Good start point would be to check for healthy spark, fuel pump run etc..

Spray some fuel down its throat. If it fires on that, then your looking at a fuel delivery problem or a ground problem as the injectors fire when ground is applied to them. Check to make sure all body grounds are clean and connected. I know that years back, Ford used regular inline fuse holders for connecting the main body ground from the battery to the body and the fuse connector would sometimes let go just enough to loose connection, but physically looked enacted.
