Default 1999 E250 Trans Filler Tube

I am having a real fight reinstalling this tube. And I seemed to have shoved the o-ring into the chamber, so a fluid drain coming soon.(After drilling out several blown spark plug ports) Are there any known alternatives such as the JEGS Flexible Braided Transmission Dipstick for Ford C6 [Polished].

Thanks in advance!

If you drop the pan to get access to the loose "O" ring you might have a better view for installing that filler tube..

Did you have the doghouse cover off ?

Doghouse and peripherals are removed. I think the tube must simply be wiggled in-no easy feat.
I will remove the pan soon. The view and access are excellent..the tube and ring are simply wildy difficult to reinsert..FORD somehow pressed this in..

This might help,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,,usually that tube has a rib just above the bottom end where you have the "O" ring applied. If you get the tube in position, then with a long screwdriver or piece of wood, tap the rib down it should go in for you.

I think the idea may be right..just above the inflated ring attach something for applied pressure-surely thats how it was done at the factory.
