2000 e150 4.6l highway RPMs
hello,
i have no tach in the van. maybe buy a cheap obd tach to see what I'm running?
i know its a van but mileage is sub optimal. 60k miles. new plugs/tires/chocks/tie rods/oil etc.
at highway speed (65) the RPMs seem pretty high around 2500-3000. overdrive button doesn't do anything, doesn't light up.
is this normal sound range? other than that. the van is like new. picked up it a month ago.
thanks

The electrical part of the system may be working , but the overdrive parts in the trans may not be responding.
If the trans pan was dropped , you might be able to see something like a lock ring that came out allowing the overdrive piston not to work and maybe just sitting in the bottom of the pan..
