2006 E250 crank but no start, not started for 3 years
I am not a mechanic. I do the basics, fluids, filters etc.
So the vehicle cranks but doesn't start.
What are the obvious things to check on a vehicle that hasn't been started for about 3 years ? Besides drain and replace gas.
I plan to:-
Check for sparks using a HEIspark plug tester.
Check fuel pressure.
???

Where was the truck parked for the last 3 years ?
I should have explained why I asked the parking question.
If the vehicle was parked where rodents were able to make a home, they like to eat wire insulation in hard to get to places like under fuse panel in engine compartment.
Intake duct work seems to be a favorite place for nest building , so we need to make sure they did not block the air cleaner intake.
I actually had a skunk living in a vehicle engine compartment of a vehicle that was started once a week. Go figure.
