E150 2005 ac
3 weeks ago, I took my 2005 E150 to a mechanic to have an a/c noise diagnosed. Turned out it was the A/C compressor. The part was replaced. Noise gone.
Next thing I know I'm losing A/C when driving up the slightest incline I returned to the mechanic, He said a vacuum hose has a leak and the integrity of the vacuum reservoir and check valve box is in question. Is that box difficult to find in the market (one), and (two) is this something that might have been observed during the first visit when compressor was replaced?

Check out the vacuum reservoir repair kit. Or even search google for "e150 vacuum reservoir relocation".

I have done this 3 times on my 2006. The first time I put a new vacuum resevoir under the dash and abandoned the one under the hood. The last two times, I just replaced the inline check valve. Before relocating the tank, I would try to change just the check valve as that is the weak link that fails.
