Hi, I just today got a 2004 E350 6.0 turbo. It runs great. The problem I have is the right rear swing out door won't latch at the bottom. I see a piece that extrudes from the door to a plate on the door sill but there is nothing for it to catch. I don't know the parts names and can't find a parts diagram. Can someone please tell me what is wrong or direct me to a parts diagram. Thanks.

 

A common problem with those latch assys is the cable breaks. If you type in on your computer, "2004 ford rear door latch diagrams", there are several diagrams to show the various parts.
You may need to get the parts from a Ford dealer, at least you will get the correct parts.
