Ford E350 Van, broke a piece used for ignition. Piece name and how to replace?

Hi! I lost the only key to my '98 Ford e350 and was told by a locksmith that I couldn't have a new key made due to the ignition cylinder not being factory. I chose to drill into the cylinder to break the lock and allow it to twist in order to come out, and I completely botched the operation (3rd pic lol). Feel free to call me a fool. A locksmith came out and managed to get the old one out, but said that I had broken a piece with my drilling that he said is important for ignition. It is that breadclip looking piece, I was wondering what the piece was called and how do I replace it properly.1st pic shows the pieces that came out, and 2nd pic is the current hole where the ignition cylinder slots in. 3rd pic is how badly I treated the ingition cylinder.

You have ONE option. Call around and find a salvage yard with a steering column still in place and see if you can buy it.

That toothed gear indexes with a rack that goes down to the ign sw mounted down on a lower part of the steering column.
Don't know if those parts are available from any Ford dealership parts dept. Even if they are you need to have some watch maker experience to replace them.
Not difficult but requires some finesse to do it right and have it work ! Most shops won't touch a job like that, they replace the column assy.
When removing the column assy secure the steering wheel in the straight ahead position or you can damage the clockspring under there if vehicle has any steering wheel buttons. The universal joint at the end of the steering shaft, in the engine compartment, is where you disconnect the assy from the steering box.
You have your work cut out for you, You also have a plug to separate that controls the lights and wipers.

Based on the 3 pics you provided you only need "ignition switch cylinder" and perhaps the steering column housing. Can you start the van by hand by moving the **** on the ignition switch now?
