Default Fuel lines in driver wheel well rusted

I have a 1998 E-150 4.6L that has some pretty rusty fuel lines. The picture below shows them, which is in the driver's wheel well. The top is line coming from the engine bay, and the bottom is the line going towards the rear of the van. Only this general section of line is rusted, so I was planning on cutting out this section and replacing. Is this a bad idea; anything I should know? Never replaced fuel line before.

Places like NAPA carry bendable coated fuel line that is resistant to corrosion.

You will need a flaring tool to do this.
NO OTHER METHOD IS ACCEPTABLE EXCEPT FLARED FITTINGS. Do not attempt to use hose or compression fittings

Now that you know what is involved ,you might want to consider having a reputable shop handle the job.

Before starting job like this, you need to verify if the fittings are standard or METRIC..
