Default fuel Pump

Yesterday my family hauler went down…from the best I can tell is the fuel pump went bad.

It has spark to the plugs, just pretty sure no fuel.

I am searching online for a fuel pump but I come up with 18 models and no two look the same.

And the ones at the best price are not in stock.

The auto parts place here wants $204 and it takes over 2 weeks to get it. (AC Delco EP 456)

I have found the exact same part online for $159.79 but they don’t have it in stock and it takes 12 days for them to get it.

The one below has me confused…can you call and talk with a ford mechanic and see if this one works, i.e. does it bolt to the outside of the fuel tank and have lines that connect to the bad one in the tank?

thanks for any assistance.

Dirt in your eyes!! always wear safety glasses. Try to draining the tank, because it is very heavy with fuel. You can do this by hooking up a pump to the line going to the filter and pump the gas into a proper container. Also the hoses to the fill neck are hard to remove, if the neck is on the inside of the body. You can just unscrew them and drop the tank just far enough to remove the sending unit.
