Default Missing Keys for passenger van

I have a 2001 passenger van and I lost the keys for it about a year ago. I have called the dealer and they said they don’t keep those records for keys from that long ago. What is my best option? Should I get a key made from the door cylinder? Or should I get a whole new ignition cylinder? Any advice would be greatly appreciated. Would also like to state that I have ZERO keys for this van at the moment, not for a door either.

If you get a new ignition cylinder, you still won't have door keys...

A lot of locksmiths (local and online) advertise that they can make keys from the VIN. IDK why they'd have records that Ford doesn't but it's certainly a possibility.

A locksmith could make keys from the door cylinder, either at your location or theirs (if you take a door cylinder out or can somehow get the van to them).

You could buy a full set of cylinders and change them out. Sets are pretty cheap online although I don't know the quality. I'm sure someone here can tell you how to get the ignition cylinder out without a key.

I think a few phone calls or emails are in order to find out the cost of each of these options and you can decide from there.

Let us know how you make out.

Good luck!

If you haven't solved your problem by this time, you might consider calling a locksmith, have him come come over and make what you need. A phone call for an estimate would help make your decision maybe a little easier. He can make whatever keys you need , one time visit, maybe a little costly, but any other way will cost just as much and come with a lot of inconvenience .
