I recently bought at an impound auction this 09 E250, I believe it started out life as a Uhaul rental van. Has anyone here run into such a box and or know what it is? It says, Uhaul Patent Pending on the sticker. Funny thing is this van from what I can tell never had and tow lighting system/plug and no receiver other than the step bumper hole for a ball. I was looking for a trailer wiring system under it and came across this box. I searched online about it to no avail.

Different rental companies use different equip for their rentals. You might get all the info you want if you check with any dealer that rents that company's equip..

 

If you are still curious what that is simply remove the doghouse, you should be able to get to it from the top since it's a little behind the connector of your range sensor.
