Default Transmission Fluid Service Questions

Howdy all,

New van owner here, been looking for a while, finally got myself a nice long E-350 V10.

It's a bit low on transmission fluid, thinking I might top it up and let it sit with proper fluid for a while since it was changed at about 52k miles.

After a while, I'll replace the lot, possibly filters as well. But for now, want to get this thing in relatively drivable shape for adventuring and whatnot.

No leaks that we could find when doing pre purchase with my mechanic, it seems it may have just been filled incorrectly. Runs totally fine.

Mercon V or Mercon LV? Want to make sure I've got the right stuff. And I'm thinking let it run while filling via the dipstick hole until properly leveled.

TLDR: Really just want to know what fluid to use, that's what I care about.

Thoughts?

If you have a copy of the owner's manual, all the specs are listed in there .

Maintenance schedule is also listed in there.
Lots of luck on your new find !

When? And what's the mileage now?
