Unhappy Troubles starting

I only have an issues starting my 2012 ford edge right after filling up. I tried to bring it to the shop but if was right after i filled up and they refused to take the gas out and refill it up to get it to act up again. Im thinking its the purge valve but i was curious if anyone else knew of something else that could be wrong? It takes a few tries to start it every time i fill up with gas. Ive tried letting it sit for 5 minutes before starting and it does the same thing.

Exclamation

I have a 2014 F-150 3.7L V6 with the very same issue. After fill up (every time) is just cranks for 20 seconds or so then fires up. Every other time I just hit the starter once and it starts just fine.
Any ideas?

If the purge valve is stuck open it will produce this problem. The vapors that go to the charcoal canister can be over fueling the engine if the purge valve is stuck open.
It is only supposed to open when certain conditions are met, ie. certain engine temp, Speed ,RPM etc.

I had an issue with my 2010 Ford fusion. Turned out to be the charcoal filter under the gas tank. Was very dirty and would effect the cart when filling up the tank.
