07 Escape blows ignition switch fuse at Accessory
Hello, I have a 2007 escape that blows fuse f4 (ignition switch) when the key is turned to the first click. No power lights up the dashboard and I can't get any power to move the ****fter to neutral.
The lights, door locks, and and power seats work.
When I put a new 10amp fuse in f4 I get the door chimes and a red light flashing on the dash. as soon a I turn the key the fuse blows and the chime and red flashing light go out. I tried an different ignition switch, checked for bad wires and have pulled most of the relays and fuses trying to find where excess power is coming from.
When I took the PCM fuse out fuse f4 did not blow, but there was no power at all to the ignition switch.
Has anyone experiences this problem?
What circuits are activated when the key goes to accessory.
Any help is greatly appreciated
Pat
