i have a 2002 escape i have started to hear a funny noise it sounds almost like a vacum leak but it is really loud it is comming from under the vehicle but i cant tell exactly where and it is sluggish it takes a long time to get up to speed and sometimes it is hard to start

 

First thing to look for are the air and fuel filters. If they are clogging, you won’t be able to generate enough power. When was the last time you changed the motor oil? If not, then better change it soon and see if this helps the engine to run smoothly.
