Default 2005 3.0 xlt random cable question

Greetings,

I am new to the Escape world as i just bought one with some front end damage. After taking off the bumper cover, and finding a few pieces missing, like the bumper reinforcement, i noticed a cable i dont know where it goes to.

On the passenger side, where the cable for the fog lamp is, there is a single blue cable with connector. On the opposite side, there is a blue cable that goes to a horn. but i dont see one on this side. Besides, that one is a 2 wire connector compared to the passengers side one wire.

Anyone with help on this, i would be eternally grateful.

Thanks in advance.

Jim

Thumbs up

Welcome to the site Jim

Early production cars had single wire connections on ‘both sides’ with the right circuit as a splice within the harness then on out to the right horn,,, late productions had a double wire connector on the left with a single on the right. The left side fed the right horn activation.. The right horn would mount up like the left to the core support..
