Gas Cap warning light on dash board came on while driving. What is that about?

The Gas Cap warning lite comes on when your vehicle's fuel cap is not completely tightened. You or someone put gas into the vehicle and probably did not tighten the gas cap or maybe forgot to put it back on.
99% of the time that's the reason the lite comes on, the other 1% is the gas cap may be defective.
