When the window is in the down position , you can see the lock assy. Try shooting some penetrating oil into the latch through the crack between the door glass and the door.
Many times from non use the lubricant gets washed out by rain and frequent washes.
With the window down as far as it will go, push/pull the rubber weatherstrip aside and you can see it .. You might need a flashlight to make it a little easier.
Trust me it is there !
With window up and plastic cover pulled away I can access the mechanism. If I push in on the door slightly I am able to try opening it and hear a slight click and see a small movement of the solenoid and latch but won't open. I try to help the solenoid pull up on the latch but not enough movement or ???
My friend noticed that when trying to open the rear door there was a clicking coming from up front. I tracked it to a relay 31F liftgate relay. It clicks about 6 times when latch is activated but nothing happens. I swapped relays 31F with 31A, same type but still does not open.
Video shows all I need to repair but..........
It was obviously replaced before and the 3 torx screw securing it were over tightened and won't budge. Torx bits slip and round out the slots. AARRRGGG!
