2013 ford escape 2.0 t crapped out
Hi first time on a forum, I purchased a 2013 ford escape with the 2.0 engine about a month ago just put plates on it and when I left the store yesterday it said "engine fault service now" I continued home and the car really struggled it also lagged into gears quite poorly my gauge cluster screen has also distorted and isn't displaying properly/well at all I'm very unsure of what to do and what could have caused this if anyone here would be able to point me the right way or give any advice I'd be very grateful I'm in college and barely got this car and now I'm unsure of what to do and pretty broke thankyou for anything in advance

Thee is not very much you can do without any tools. If you had some basic tools maybe
I believe your vehicle has gone into what may be referred to as Limp Mode. Sometimes this will reset when you turn off the key /engine.until the problem surfaces again, which could be anytime.
If you can tell what the conditions are at the time the light comes on ,that would be helpful..
