It’s been over a week since you put the last finishing touches on it. Can you please share how you fixed the problem with a “micro controller” and how we can too. Is the micro controller you’re speaking of the kind you get with replacement after market audio systems?

Would much appreciate your sharing with others your fix with details so we can all have the same outcome.

I am dealing with some bugs with power saving mode to avoid draining the battery and was on vacation last week. But rest assured, I am still working on it.

Perhaps Ford should sponsor your project and then buy a complete model they can mass produce and offer to all the Ford owners effected by this ridiculous issue and save face. Just me thinking out loud.

 

I have an 08 with Nav and audiophile, Hybrid. It just reset by itself to July 14th 2004 a couple of days ago. It had the correct date and year previously. You can not set it back to correct. This was 4 years before the car was built. Strange.

I'm very curious to know how you're project is progressing. I can hardly look at my dash without feeling a deep surge of frustration towards Ford and their engineering team who knew this particular beast would eventually return home to roost yet let it loose anyway. It's just really difficult to fathom.
