The EGV had a hole in it replaced it drove a few miles and it blew a hole in the new one. What can be the issue?

Are we correct to believe you mean the EGR exhaust gas recirculation pipe/ valve?

Have any modifications been made to the engine or exhaust system?

Default Same problem

I am having the same problem. EGR valve blows a hole out of the body of the valve. Stock exhaust as far as I know. 3.0 V6.

I would suspect a possible exhaust restriction, or the valve is opening more than it should ,but I do not know for sure until some checks are done.
Maybe someone has come across and knows the answer.

Talking to one of my local mechanics, he believes it is either a plugged intake line or bad vacuum to the valve.
