I used a ohm meter to check all 6 coils on our escape due to a bad miss and found cylinder 4 coil pack is bad as a second check i started motor and pulled wire from coil 4 and motor ran the same pulled 5 it got worse and pulled 6 it got worse so then i decided to switch 4 and 5 coils and then started motor again now 4 and 5 with wire pulled make no difference in engine miss hope someone can make sense of this thanks

 

Could the spark plug for cyl 4 be defective or have a carbon track AND the coil you removed from it?
