2000 expedition not obd2 ready
2000 Ford Expedition cat. Monitor will not run!!! Can not pass Ca smog!!! Driving cycles did not work. Replaced all 4 catalytic converters on advice from smog tech. At wits end!!!

How about a little background , like the complete story, of why you changed the converters?
Certain conditions need to be met for the monitor to run. There is a good chance one of those conditions is not being met. That is why I asked for the complete story .
For example, it will not run if the check eng lite is on.

I have a problem with the advice you rec'd
If the monitor did not run how do we know the converters are defective ?
Certain conditions must be met for the monitor to run.
Among them are,
engine temp over certain point,
no check engine light
certain period of time vehicle has been parked, engine off
gas tank fuel level more than 1/2 tank
Vehicle driven for a specified period of time at certain speeds.
I don't remember them all , but you can Google, "Ford catalyst monitor requirements"
