Default 4X4 binding at slow speed

Just bought a 2008 Expedition, LTD. In "4X4 Auto", I notice during slow speed turns, the wheels seem to bind, as if it were in 4x4 high/low. I thought 4X4 Auto was like AWD, something like my wife's BMW X5. My question: is what I am describing normal ops for this rig, or is it something I should be concerned about. The truck has 128K on it, and runs like a champ. BTW, no issues in turning in 2 wheel drive.

Thank you in advance for any and all responses....Cheers

Some hubs had two choices, manual and automatic. It sounds like your hubs are locked in the manual position. Check with your owner's manual for the correct use and operation of the system.
