Have always had a rough idle occasionally. Recently it has gotten worse, sometimes stalls on cold start. Have to give it gas to keep it running untill it circulates some fuel. Only codes im pulling are 2 o2's and pcv valve (changed twice and inspected the hose, no leaks) oreilys did tell me about cylinder 8 misfire, im assuming its the cop, will verify tomorrow.

Anyone have any suggestions of elsewhere to look?

 

If you are open to a suggestion,
switch the #8 coil with say #5 same side easy to get at.
If the misfire moves to 5 , it's the coil. If it doesn't now swap the spark plug. If the misfire is still there , it could be a possible problem with wiring connections, valve spring, injector or the computer(PCM).

The wiring is pretty easy to check especially for loose connections for the coil or the injector. You would need to remove the valve cover to check the spring on both the intake and exhaust valves for that cyl. Always try the easy things first. Ground paths provided by the PCM for injector or coil would require a little more checking .
How long have the plugs been in there?
