Default No oil pressure at idle

When I come to a light or stop the car, my oil pressure gauge goes to zero and the oil light comes on. Soon as I touch the gas, even if I lightly touch it, the pressure on dash gauge goes right back to normal. If will only do this when my expy had been running for a whole. When I first start it up, it won’t do this at all for the 10 mins or so of driving. My oil levels are fine. I recently had my oil changed at a Valvoline oil change place, about 400 miles ago. I don’t hear any loud or obvious noises coming from engine. What could this problem be? I would think if it’s a bad pump the no oil pressure would be more consistent. I don’t have tools to check oil pressure and am looking for obvious and simple things to check or replace before spending the money for a mechanic to diagnose and fix
its a 2003 with a 4.6

Here we go,,,,,,,,,,,,,

Did your vehicle have this problem before the oil change or after?

Never hurts to check your owner's manual and see if the oil change place installed the recommended grade oil..

I never had this problem before this oil change. They used recommended oil, but their own branded filter. I went back to them today and the manager did another oil change with new filter. I haven’t taken a long enough drive to see if it still does it. I won’t be able to take a drive until tomorrow, but I want to try to eliminate any small things it could be, which is why I had them put a new oil filter in

Strange things can and do happen.
If for some reason the oil pressure regulator valve was hanging up in the open position, well, possible. If the new filter and oil correct the problem, worth the trouble.
