I will say this much, talking with the Ford Customer help is NO help what so ever. This is what they had to say about the situation:

My name is Al and I am from the Ford Customer Relationship Center (CRC). I received both of your emails regarding your 2011 Ford Expedition.
>
>I'm sorry to hear about the starting issue on your vehicle.

>I understand your repair assistance request. I recommend that your vehicle be inspected by a Ford Dealership to determine the cause of any symptoms your vehicle may be experiencing. Your servicing Ford Dealership has factory-trained technicians, the most current engineering service information, and the specialized equipment required to resolve your vehicle concern. If there is no coverage under applicable warranties, repairs and services would be your responsibility. Your next step is to make an appointment with dealer Ford to have your vehicle diagnosed.

Customer service for any manufacturer can't do anything for a vehicle off warranty. What else are they going to say...take it to somewhere other than a ford dealer?

talk to the service manager of the dealership who did the original work. if anyone is going to correct this for free, it would be them. Keep calm, tell him the story. Ask questions; as to why this would happen immediately after they serviced it. Its to much of a coincidence that the anti-theft system is at faulty after they worked on it.

The truck is still under warrantee and that is what was asked. As of this morning (last night there) they didn't have an answer as to what was going on. Hopefully it get correct soon because with the loaner that they gave her, she has gotten stuck 3 times just in the driveway and made her late to appointments. I am really not asking to have it fixed for free. Just asking for them to fix what may have been caused by their personnel. If it was due to something that they did, then yes I would expect them to fix it at their cost but being that it IS under warrantee, it should be covered.

All other things aside, I have a special thing about helping anybody that is performing service in the Military for all of us here.
Lets hope the dealership is aware of your contribution to this country and handles the situation accordingly. Please let us know how this turns out, Thank You !

Once years ago [1997 Expedition] I ran my ignition key over with a forklift truck and that little electronic pill inside the key's finger grip shot out across the factory floor.

Recovering the pill I dropped it back into my split open key, snapped it shut and tried to start. NOTHING. Turned over with the electric starter motor but no start. No fire.

So I opened the key up again and flipped the pill end for end, 180 degrees, snapped her shut, turned the key and presto! We had fire. So I super glued the key shut and no problems since then.

I hate Nader. Someone wants to steal my truck they can come and grab it. They make 2,500 motor vehicles every hour of every day 24-7 Worldwide. No shortage that I can see.

skip.

Hanky Being that I delt with the salesman from over here via email to negotiate the price, they know that I am serving and where. He was getting a lil upset with me because he was expecting a reply back to his emails almost immediately and would call the wife 5 minutes later until she explained that I was 10 1/2 hr ahead and it was the middle of the night that he fully understood. BTW She should be getting the truck back today and OFCOARSE is was NOT covered under the warrantee so $675 later...

If we're not getting too personal, did the invoice state what they repaired/ replaced?

They said that they had to repair a couple of wires that a mouse got into and chewed in two but from what the wife said, the parts were $26 and 6 hrs labor. To me that doesn't add up to $675. That's over 100/hr. Other than that, I don't know what all was done. She has her truck back and shes happy so I guess that's all that matters. Ya know the ol sayin of "Happy wife...Happy life."
