Default 2020 Ford Explorer ST Auxillary Power

I am looking for a place to get 12vdc 20 amps from to connect emergency communications equipment. In my 2011 I could take it straight from the + post on the battery. I am concerned with all the new tech if that is still an option. I read somewhere that it might be possible but "DO NOT TAKE THE GROUND FROM THE - POST" Does anyone know?

The whole vehicle is grounded to the ground post, where did you see that ?
Being involved with radio communications ,you should be aware of filtering and might want to look into that .
Fords don't like add on s and I would suggest you check with one or two service depts to confirm the best place to make the connections If you choose just any place that may have power , there is a good possibility you could send voltage spikes through the system and that could affect the modules and their communications.

Also, charging systems rely in info provided by battery sensors and cannot get correct info if they are bypassed.

Thank you for your reply. Seems it depends on which service department you ask.
