Default check engine light/almost out of options

I have had cold engine idle problems in the past and they never went away. I went to a Ford dealer that was a parts changer, new EGR, new Idle control valve, new fuel filter, replaced gas cap, complete tune up. I sprayed the wire inside the valve in the air cleaner tube, looked clean and shiny, and cannot find any vacuum leaks.

Today the check engine light came on for the first time in six months. It still will not idle when cold without foot on the gas. When it warms up it is better but still a little rough in drive with foot on brake at a stop.

I am about out of options.

Any ideas would be appreciated.

I am thinking after doing several hours of homework online that maybe I need to replaced the mass air flow sensor. Any thoughts and where is the best place to buy one??

How hard is it to replace and is there an online tutorial??
Thanks

Funny thing. I just sprayed a little wd40 around the gasket on the maf sensor and tightened the four bolts just a little, I have not tried a cold start yet but the idle is now at 750 rpm instead of 600. Maybe just a gasket problem or is that even possible???

Hi, do you know the code you got? That will be useful. There is a common problem about the upper intake gasket on the V6 4.0L. But, if that is the problem I can't figure out why the dealer didn't thought about that one.
