I started up the car this morning and got a coolant temperature high alarm. It's got to be the sensor, since the car sat overnight. At the same time, I noticed the outside air temp wasn't registering, just showing "--". Would this be the same sensor or do I have multiple problems?

It would be really helpful if you could tell us what you might be driving ! Since most vehicles, including Fords, are different year to year and model to model , a crystal ball doesn't even get close. Thanks
