Default Key fob issues

I have a 2008 Sport Trac and recently my key fob was slow in reacting, so I purchased two new ones and made sure the batteries were new. I programmed them and they worked fine for a while. Recently I have a had to push a button multiple times to get it to lock or unlock the doors, until yesterday they completely quit working. I placed new batteries in them and still nothing. I put each one through the programming procedure and all went well until I was done and the fobs still do nothing. I have programmed them multiple times and each time all of the lock/unlock responses happen, yet when I am finished none of the fobs will work. It almost seems like the signal from the fob to the truck isn't being received.

Any help on what module might be responsible for receiving the signal from the key fob? Everything else on the truck works as it is supposed to except the fobs. Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks

My alldata 08-09 are missing info, so I picked 2007 instead. I also randomly selected 4.0L with VIN K (8th character of your VIN as K) because you never provided that info. (Check my signature below).

Pinpoint test index page above, all the test details attached below.

If all the tests shown above do not help, we might ask where you purchased the FOBS

If not genuine Ford fobs, consider buying one from Ford. They most likely will program it for you too.

If the FOBS you are using are aftermarket, that could be part of the problem.

My apologies: 2008 Ford Sport trac. 4.0 V6. 2WD AUTO. 1FMEU31K17UA22342

If I'm reading your info correctly - which I greatly appreciate - I have programed my RKE;s properly and they respond to the programing during the process. However once the process is complete they will not lock or unlock any of the doors nor engage the security horn. I think Test H above is the one that would apply.

Thanks for your helpl!

The fobs are aftermarket but they have worked for at least the last 4-6 months. Could they go bad on their own?
